Available Foster Pups

Dozer (click on the name for more info)
Dozer a neutered rottweiller/siberian mix, approximately 2 years old,
and 65 lbs. Dozer is a very sweet, but energetic dog and needs a
loving, active home where he is an only dog or where there is a same
sized or larger dog. (Dozer does not do well with smaller dogs, cats
or birds.) This dog desperately needs a family (he enjoys kids who are
old enough to romp with him) who has the time and patiencce to give to
an animal who has not had a great start in life. Dozer was originally
a stray picked up by Washoe County Animal Control and never claimed by
an owner. He is current on vaccinations and micro-chipped. For more
information on this deserving dog, please contact me at:
Arcgrace1@aol.com or (775) 673-5618.

Breed: Husky (mix)
Age:
5 years
Gender:
Male
5 yo male Alaskan Husky mix with a thick coat. Weighs approx 65 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped and current on shots. Nice dog that is friendly to everyone he meets and seems friendly to other dogs as well. Seems to like children. He loves attention and treats, knows the command "sit" and is housetrained. He has plenty of energy too, for those that want a running/skiing/hiking partner.

Please complete application at www.tahoewarf.com. For info, contact Kathy at Arcgrace1@aol.com or (775)673-5618.

Blue (click on the name for more info)

Breed: Pointer (mix)
Age: 6-9 months
Gender: Female
Weight: Other:
Altered: Yes

Blue is very special shorthaired pointer mix. She is approximately 6-9 months of age. Blue is the progeny of a group of sled dogs rescued from a kennel that wasn’t taking care of their dogs. Blue was born in the shelter and as such has had very little handling and is afraid of people in general. She does get along very well with other dogs and plays and romps in my yard all day. Blue is kennel trained and enjoys dog houses. Blue would like a home where she can be a regular dog, go for walks with her people, and hang out in a yard-preferably with another dog to keep her comfortable and feeling secure. Due to being in a shelter her whole life, she has never been in a house, and will need training associated with that. Blue is current on vaccinations and will be spayed prior to placement.

Do you think you can offer this sweet puppy a forever home? To be patient with her and learn to let her love and trust you? If so, please email Kathy at: Arcgrace1@aol.com or call: 775/673-5618 (please be patient, it takes me sometimes days to get back to phone messages!).

Kharma (click on the name for more info)

Breed: Husky (mix)
Age: 6-8 years
Gender: Female
Altered: Yes

Kharma is a beautiful, pure white, Alaskan Husky. She is estimated to be between about 6 & 8 years of age. Kharma was one of many dogs rescued from a kennel that wasn’t taking care of their dogs, and has spent over a year in a county shelter. She is an experienced sled dog, having possibly run lead, and would excel in an environment with an active person interested in skijoring, bikejoring, hiking or looking for an additional dog to add to a recreational sledding team. I ran her in harness and she took to it like a pro, albeit one who is a tad out of shape. Kharma has a sweet personality, but is shy and has some fears due to her recent experiences. She will need time to bloom and get used to her new human partners, but is ready to go to a new home and begin her new life. She will do best with male dogs for canine partners. Kharma is current on vaccinations and will be spayed prior to placement.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at: Arcgrace1@aol.com or call: 775/673-5618 (please be patient, it takes me sometimes days to get back to phone messages!).
