Donner, AKA "The Norwegian"

“Arcticgrace Helge au Brattalid, SD”, a.k.a. “The Spoiled One”, was bred by Benedicte Ingstad of Brattalid Siberians in Norway. “Donner” is a very special dog to me, and sleeps on the bed with me every night. Nicknamed “Donner” but named after Helge Ingstad, a Norwegian Explorer who knew Leohnard Seppala and purchased some of Seppala’s dogs for his daughter, Benedicte, to start her kennel with. I had the honor to meet Benedicte, and then to get a dog from her - that dog is Donner, and he is well aware of his status in my heart. Donner has a structure to die for, incredible enthusiasm and is the first race leader I trained myself. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Pannus at about three years old and I had him neutered-dashing my plans for him and Angel!
