“Shaddai’s Amazing Grace”, a.k.a. “The Queen”, is a beautiful bitch that I bought from the dual purpose (showing & racing) “Shaddai Siberians” kennel of Greg and Terry Lictenberger. When “Grace” entered my life I was still looking for direction in this breed and decided to test out the waters in the show ring. I showed her for about two years, getting some 3rd and 4th place ribbons, but never beyond that (which I absolutely blame on ME). About the time I thought I might get somewhere with her, I discovered sled dog racing and the showing idea went right out the window.

Grace is “one of those” Siberians who is at the extreme end of the temperament spectrum for a Siberian. She is beautiful and sweet and a marvelous house dog, BUT, she is also not to be trusted, not even for a second - ever. Grace taught me everything there is to know about the “bad” side of the Siberian Husky breed. Although I say that with a smile, Grace cost me thousands of dollars in vet bills before she was a year old, then she subsequently cost me quite a bit in the vet fees of the small (and one not-so-small) animals she maimed or killed or maimed and then killed. Grace has also cost me a significant amount of money in court fees and fines. So, take a look at some of the pictures of the Queen of my pack…take a good look and don’t ever forget what these dogs are capable of! Grace is 10 now and not causing me any problems, but she can STILL open any gate or door, any crate, dig herself (or bite herself) out of any yard, and looks at me everyday and tells me that the only reason she doesn’t, is because SHE chooses not to anymore. Darling Grace, I will miss you dearly, and mourn you forever when you cross over the Rainbow Bridge, but… I will then be able to see an Animal Control truck without my heart jumping out of my chest.
