“Northome’s Le Loup, SD” was bred by Ann and Al Stead of Northome Siberians in Dututh, Minnesota. “Loup” has been a challenge for me. (Ann, stop laughing.) He is a big male who is probably the strongest dog I own… and he is not afraid to use that strength, digging in with everything he has EVERY run. It took me several years to get up the courage to put that dog anywhere but in wheel, but when I put him in lead, I realized I had been making a terrible mistake. Loup took that energy, that speed and that drive and led my team with everything he had. So, okay, he needs a little focusing now and then, but he is a wonderful, loyal, loving dog, and one that continues to teach me lesson, after lesson, after lesson.
