“Northome’s Nickel, SDX” was bred by Ann and Al Stead of Northome Siberians in Duluth, Minnesota). I cannot begin to express how much Nickel has taught me! She came to me a fabulous, command leader, and has been an awesome leader for my pups, teaching them confidence, commands, and hopefully NOT her ability to catch squirrels without missing a beat! Nickel has become a full-time housedog and is loving every minute of that. She is truly a testament to the fact that you CAN buy an older dog and have them bond to you, and work for you, and become a member of your family just as if you got them as a puppy. Nickel is 11 now and retired off the main team, but still training on dirt, and still won’t let me leave her behind. She has a heart twice her size, and is one of those dogs of which you will always say: “There will never be another like her.”
